【summary】
One of the largest waterfalls (largest drop) in Nakashibetsu.
The waterfall has a drop of about 25 meters.
The path to the waterfall is almost entirely undeveloped, so serious mountain hiking (stream hiking) equipment is required.
There is a small parking space on the forest road along the Kutekumbetsu River, and a post box for submitting a forest entry notice (indicate the number of people and the time of the hike start).
The distance from the parking lot to the waterfall is about 3 km, and it takes about 60 minutes.

【Attention】
The parking lot is located directly across from the river, but even experienced walkers may miss it on their way back. When entering the mountain, please remember the landmarks.
Please be prepared for the presence of wild bears in the vicinity. Bells will be drowned out by the sound of the flowing river, so it is best to walk while blowing a whistle or other device at even intervals.
First-time climbers should be accompanied by an experienced climber.

【Kutekumbetsu River】

In some places, it is neccessaly to walk along the river. Be prepared to get your lower half wet as you walk up the river. After about an hour walk, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view.
